2020 has and will continue to present a unique set of circumstances for the world, and perhaps even more so for healthcare professionals.  This has placed further emphasis on solutions and ideas that allow us to continue moving forward with quality educational programs while still adhering to social distancing, shelter in place, and safer at home measures and precautions.  To meet these new challenges, our team has been working to develop and implement interesting ideas for these interesting times, and our adaptive live educational activities are a prime example.

Until circumstances return to the status quo, our team is including hosting virtual live lectures (or education conferences) as a stand in for the face-to-face meetings and gatherings that have been, or otherwise will be, cancelled or postponed, or otherwise inaccessible due to restrictions on the presence of outside personnel at various hospitals and medical centers.  We offer a one hour accredited educational activity and 60-90 minutes of hosted time to conduct chapter or department business or additional education.  This allows for the continuation of educational activities without the risks associated with physical presence.  Additionally, our expert faculty members have stated they the relative anonymity of the virtual setting enhances the willingness of some participants to become more engaged in the educational activity that they may have been otherwise in the live event setting. We look forward to embracing this ancillary benefit until we are able to return to traditional, well documented effectiveness of face-to-face live activities.
